When anyone calls me, they are told "Please Enter Your Password"

Post by RTL44 » Sun Aug 02, 2020 2:34 pm

I have had my ooma Telo over 10 years and never had this issue until about a week ago. Anytime someone calls me, the phone rings once (even though I have it set to ring 4x before going to VM) and the caller is given the Ooma "Please enter your password" message. So, basically I can't receive any calls. I can call out fine. I called the support line and the agent said he would call and check to see if he got the same message, but I never got the call from him.

I have looked all of my settings, have rebooted, have deleted my ooma apps from my phone, have rebooted my router, and nothing has worked. Any thoughts, ideas, or others with this issue?

I don't know know of any way that Ooma would make that request.
Are you sure that your number is not forwarded to somewhere else like Google Voice?

I'm positive. I even disabled the forward to my ooma app and deleted the app. I've been an Ooma user for over a decade and am tech savvy. This is a new issue that I have never seen nor had before. It's also the same female voice that is the default for voicemail, so it is definitely coming from Ooma.

Does your dial tone stutter for the first second?
If it does, turn off do not disturb.

DND is not enabled. I had checked that. Thanks for trying to help.
