HD3 Not registering

New ooma customer. I bought one of those ooma telo + HD3 Combos.
The telo base is all set up and online. But I can't seem to register the HD3 set with telo base. Once I press the page button,
1. When I power on the HD3 handset it says" Handset not registered. To Register press and hold the page key..."
2. Once I press the page key, telo base goes into registration mode. The HD3 beeps and asks a question to register with a "Yes No" prompt on the screen.
3. As per the instruction, I keep pressing the button under yes(left button) and nothing happens.

Things I have tried so far:
1. Power cycled telo base
2. Reset and HD3 via pressing and holding the red button and then restarting while pressing the left softkey and zero.
3. Disabling and then re-enabling the DECT setting on telo base.

Nothing seems to be working. The only keys that's responsive on the HD3 are the red and green buttons.

Am I SOL? Is this HD3 defective?
