Premier Setup with DP-1 and HD-3 Handsets

FYI, for users who opt for new Ooma equipment: yes, it can be done! I just upgraded to the Telo 2, the DP-1 and a couple of HD-3 handsets. It took about six calls to Ooma tech support before I was able to get both of my Ooma phone numbers to function on all phones. Also, you no longer need the Linx for the second line when using these wireless devices. The DP-1 desk phone DOES NOT have a phone line jack. It is wireless only.

All that said, this just should not be all that difficult. When you are paying for a second line, buy phones that are purportedly dual-line phones, you expect them to work and for setup to be something you can do yourself. But, no. You have to call. I had to engage second-level tech support a few times to get things working.

Good luck!
