Several seconds delay before caller can hear me

Post by nassachthal » Tue Apr 18, 2023 8:12 am

When I answer a call, I have to say hello 3 times before the caller can hear me. How can this situation be remedied?

Here is a suggestion to everyone, as it seems to help me with the same issue.

I’ve trained myself to answer after the THIRD full ring. When I press the Answer button on my cordless phone, I take my time bringing the phone to my ear and then say “hello.”

With doing this, I rarely run into this situation any more.

I realize this doesn’t fix the issue. This is something that needs to be reported to the Ooma support people, and if enough people call in and report it, maybe they’ll look into it.

I have the same issue. Usually it takes 2 "hello" before the caller hears me.
