HD3 batteries show 0%

Post by lmacmil » Tue Jul 18, 2023 5:35 am

Just came back from 4 days away and the HD3 shows 0% charge even though it's been sitting in the base with no usage. I'm charging my spare batteries now but wondering how the HD3 batteries could have discharged when it hasn't been used. Any thoughts? FWIW, they are Eneloop 750ma and have been in the phone for years without an issue.

It could be that the batteries are dying, and can't hold a full charge anymore. Or it could be that the handset or base has dirty/corroded contacts. Some handset manufacturers recommend using a pencil eraser to clean the metal contacts; something like that could also work for the HD3.
