No light on DP1 for voicemail messages

I am receiving voicemail messages, which do light up the arrow on the base station, however it does not light the indicator on the DP1. It does blink on all of my HD3 handsets also. As I mainly rely on the message waiting light on the DP1, can anyone advise how to get this light displaying again?
