Unable to receive calls from Telus phones after porting

Want to know if anyone ever had similar trouble like this. After porting my home phone number from Telus to ooma, this ooma phone has been unable to receive calls from phones using Telus network, including our own cell phones (Public Mobile on Telus). The calls get message "your call cannot be completed as dialed". However it can receive calls from Rogers and Bell networks. Called the ooma support twice, but no avail. Don't want to contact them any more as it's difficult to communicate and they are so rude.

Depending on the caller's area code and exchange code, the number dialed may either require (or prohibit) the area code, a leading '1', (or a leading '0'). Try dialing the home phone with and without the area code, and with or without the leading '1', to check whether that makes a difference.

Otherwise, if the home phone can receive calls from the Rogers and Bell networks, but not the Telus network, then the problem could be with Telus. Try calling their customer support for assistance; hopefully they'll be more polite. Or else, try emailing Ooma's customer support instead.
