Fax Machine problem

I have read the Fax machine FAQ and it says to press *99 b4 fax, then it says to use the pause key twice? what is the pause key? i am still unable send a fax, how can i pause for 1-2sec after dial *99 on my fax?? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Read your fax machine user manual it should tell you what to do.. Most of the time it is P for pause.
