Well, my new Ooma worked great on outgoing calls, but the Broadband Answering Machine wouldn't pick up. Messages could only be picked up by my landline voicemail.
After fiddling with the settings all afternoon, I thought about trying the simplest fix known to home network gurus---I unplugged the router, modem, and hub. I waited 30 seconds. I plugged it all back in.
Presto! Everything works exactly the way it's supposed to! I'm calling the phone company (rhymes with kwest) and dropping all my extra services and long distance until my number ports.
Woo Hoo!
