Porting Question

Post by scots » Mon Jan 19, 2009 9:45 pm

I've been an ooma customer for about a month now. So far I've been very impressed with the service, and it's worked great. I just logged into the Lounge, paid an annual payment for Premier, and also started the number porting process. I kinda like the number I currently have with ooma, and when I looked a day or two ago ooma was no longer showing any phone numbers left in Raleigh, NC. They have numbers in surrounding towns (which aren't long distance calls), but it wasn't showing any in Raleigh.

My question is...

When my number port occurs, can I retain my current ooma phone number, have it moved to my second line, and make the number that's going to port over my line 1 number?

Yep, you can use your current ooma phone number as your secondary phone number when the port completes. I'll add a note to your port request support ticket with your request.
