Outgoing Caller ID still not working --6months later
--I have hub and scout (Costco). Six months later from activation, my name does not display with the phone number on numbers I call -- this causes some people to not answer the phone, since the display is my number with "unknown caller"--a big nuisance to us! "My Ooma" shows the desired caller ID display. What am I doing wrong?

I am now past two months after porting. Same issue. I'm kind of ticked.

I was able to get the same issue taken care of using the e-mail system but that was several months ago. My suggestion would be to call support and have them check the CNAME for you.
Go AVS!

I love ooma - but after a year of not having my name on my hub I decided it was not going to happen. I've had numerous calls to support - at least 4 tickets opened and then closed by ooma - and still my name was unavailble. My Telo has my name properly displayed and has since week one. I even asked customer service to clone my information from my Telo to my hub. It didn't work. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I have complete empathy for your situation.

Friends don't remember what Landline Integration was or why we did it.

Ditto. After almost a year, my hub finally shows my name when I call somebody.
However, when I call people with Ooma units from my cell phone, my name comes across as ALLISON GEORGE. No idea who he/she is, but if you ever get a call from them, it's me. Doesn't happen when I call anyone else, just Ooma customers.
Oh, and my Telo never has shown my name. I'm Mr. Unavailable or Mr. Out of the Area.

I will start the same as Southsound - I love Ooma... but it's been just over a year for me as well. Had the Classic hub - no name. Moved my account to the Telo... still no name. About 4 tickets over the past year and it is still the same - no name.

I also have my outgoing caller ID come up as something other than what I want. It says MM Embroidery.
I've called many times. Each time they say the call is elevated to the highest level and someone will call back.
Never happens!!!. I wish they would just be upfront with me about the issue.
It sounds like many people have similar problems.
I would like to know if anyone has the same problem and that it actually was fixed and how long did it take.
Thanks
Jim

The upside to your situation is that for less than $1000 you can buy one of those fancy computer controlled sewing machines and have a great side business! No additional advertising required.jimmers wrote:I also have my outgoing caller ID come up as something other than what I want. It says MM Embroidery.

Re: Outgoing Caller ID still not working --6months later
I just had my number ported to my Ooma Telo on Tues. My name shows up fine.
Re: Outgoing Caller ID still not working --6months later
Ported numbers will usually continue to show the name that was associated with them prior to the port.richalger wrote:I just had my number ported to my Ooma Telo on Tues. My name shows up fine.
In rare cases, some have found that their ported number shows null, null instead of name and number. Apparently, that may be because their previous service provider removed their info from the LIDB.
