DTMF Tones not heard

Post by focuspuller » Fri Jun 11, 2010 12:26 pm

I just installed my wife's Telo and was making several calls to check it out.

When I called one of the places that says press "X" for, etc. The tone was not heard.

I then tried the same place using my hub and got the same problem.

Then tried with my Vonage line and no problem.

Then tried several other numbers that use the "Press X" for..... Again both the Telo and the Hub did not work.

Did the same with the Vonage line and all worked fine.

The Hub has worked in the past.

Has there been a change in the way OOMA processes the DTMF tones?
(I'm not calling my or any other answer machine, just businesses that use the "Press X" for answering their phones.)

When you call Ooma tech support, you use touch-tones to select options. So I guess you can't use Ooma to call Ooma tech support. Swift, eh?

I don't call tech support.....so I do not know if there would be a problem.

As of now all is fine. The problem was only for about a day and a half.
