YouTube goes extremely slow

YouTube seems to go very slow behind the Ooma Telo...do you think the Telo is making YouTube's buffering slow?

You can try video streaming from news or sports sites. If it's normal at cnn.com, then your internet (and telo) is ok, youtube server is just overloaded.
If you on cable isp, and it's happening during peek hours, then probably the broadband pipe is saturated when the whole subdivision surfs on.
You can point the finger at the Telo if the two above do not apply. Then you need to do some speed test and post the result here. Some one will help you fine turn the Telo QoS to make thing better.
