USB Wireless Adapter Issues

Post by shalom2U » Thu Nov 29, 2012 8:53 pm

I had problems with my first usb wireless adapter. Ooma replaced it after they determined it was defective. I needed ooma tech support to successfully install the replacement usb wireless adapter to work correctly, but we finally got it to work. This was fine for a few months. Lately though, it loses connection to the internet and can't connect even afer rebooting modem-router-teleo. I'm getting tired of calling tech support. With ethernet cable the Ooma tele has connection to the internet, but who wants teleo in the basement? I'm frustrated and believe that Ooma should reimburse me for at least the usb wireless adapter ($50). Maybe no one else is having the usb wireless problems I am having, but I real disappointed with its reliability. Any suggestions to improve it?

Try to improve your router wifi performance; in your router's wireless network setup section, turn off channel bonding (20 MHz only) and select a different channel setting other than "auto" (1 or 11). viewtopic.php?f=9&t=13736&start=10#p95659
