Wireless Adapter Help Please

I started using my Ooma today with the wireless USB adapter. I set everything up and it connects fine with a dial tone. The problem is that it doesn't want to stay connected to the network. I tried setting up my voicemail and it dropped the connection during the setup process resulting in a red Ooma symbol on my unit. I then pull the power on the Ooma unit and let it reboot. It finds the wireless network and connects. I pick up the phone hear the dial tone, and it drops the connection shortly after resultin in a red Ooma symbol. I went through this process several times before I had to give up and go to work. The unit is currently hardwired modem-router-Ooma and working fine.
I am using a wireless N route (DD-WRT)
Router is about 10 feet away from the Ooma unit and on the same floor
15MB cable internet
No special characters in my SSID or password
I am pretty comfortable accessing my router config. Is there a setting I need to change?
Thanks

Re: Wireless Adapter Help Please
Run http://speedtest.phonepower.com/ to see how your modem and Internet connection is doing. Then click on the Advance tab on the lower left side of the Phonepower page, and post the following values here in this thread, by clicking on "Quote" in the upper right hand corner of this Ooma Forum post. Then fill in the blanks.freezedried74 wrote:I started using my Ooma today with the wireless USB adapter. I set everything up and it connects fine with a dial tone. Re: Wireless Adapter Help Please
Should my Ooma unit be connected when I do this? If so, should I connect it hardwired or wirelessly?
Thank you

Re: Wireless Adapter Help Please
You could try both ways, but I doubt that there will be much difference, because the Phonepower Speedtest tests mostly the Modem and Internet.freezedried74 wrote:Should my Ooma unit be connected when I do this? If so, should I connect it hardwired or wirelessly?

Re: Wireless Adapter Help Please
freezedried74, for the voip quality test, best to do it with a wired computer. Via wifi, the readings might not be as good has been my experience.
If you find nothing wrong with your internet; I think maybe a simple reboot of your router may solve your unreliable wifi connection problem.
If something further needs to be done to resolve the unreliable wifi connection problem, try router "factory restore" (need to jot down all your settings so you can re-do them). I found this to solve a few of my mysterious router problems.
Also, see if you can improve your wifi performance by doing this: viewtopic.php?t=14874#p103697

Re: Wireless Adapter Help Please
With hardwired computer, I wonder if your packet discards would be 0. Otherwise, numbers look good.
Check out what I previously talked about in improving your wifi.

Re: Wireless Adapter Help Please
No luck so far. I rebooted my router and the Telo with no change. I am trying to access setup.ooma.com to setup my wireless adapter again but the page is down. Can anyone else access setup.ooma.com. I am getting an Oops! Google Chrome could not find setup.ooma.com error. Same issue in internet explorer. I am having no other issues with my internet. All other pages load fine.
Re: Wireless Adapter Help Please
setup.ooma.com is inside of your Ooma box. What you are seeing is usually caused by using OpenDNS for your DNS server.freezedried74 wrote:No luck so far.
