When my sister calls me her number gets blocked. I have not enabled blocked numbers in my preferences so I am wonder why this happens.

Thanks, I believe you were right. I didn't remember checking that particular box.

I had support uncheck the anonymous option and I again checked that privacy option and it is still remains unchecked, yet her phone number gets blocked. It is when she uses my landline number which I have forwarded to my Ooma number. Any ideas? This does not seem to happen to anyone else that calls us with Caller ID blocked. Most just comes in as Anonymous caller but she comes in as Blocked.

I wonder if the blocking is being done by the company that is providing your landline number? If they are blocking the number, it will never be forwarded. Just a guess, but this might be the cause.skipbisconer wrote:It is when she uses my landline number which I have forwarded to my Ooma number. Any ideas?

Friends don't remember what Landline Integration was or why we did it.

Do you mean you receive the calls but her callerid shows "blocked?" "Blocked" as callerid just means the caller is opting not to show callerid.skipbisconer wrote:Most just comes in as Anonymous caller but she comes in as Blocked.

Re: Number is blocked.
When she callse me, my phone tells me the "Caller is Blocked". Dosn't go to voice mail. On her end it does the following:
Rings once then a long broken up "stuttering" ring then silence for about 8 seconds then rings busy. This is every time she calls the Oooma number. If she calls my land line, which I have forwared to Oooma, the only difference is that it rings twice to her (only once to me) then the stutter ring and so on.
I have and am still tying to work with Support directly but the first call I got a person who I could barely understand her English and she talked really fast, so had to guess what she was telling or asking me, and I don't hear well to boot, which didn't help. I finally figure out she was trying out something (never knew what) and wanted me to hang up have my sister call and see if that cured the problem; which it didn't change anything. The second time I got some one who spoke a little better English said she did something (never knew what) and had me reboot the Ooma to try again but that had the same results. Haven't had the time to get back a third time. Going to try again today.

Can you answer the calls when your phone is telling you "blocked?"

Only if I pick up on the first ring, otherwise I get a dial tone.
