I'm excited about SIP or other ooma support on iDevices. My main request would be to allow configuration of bluetooth devices with mic to work on the ipad. I configured a SIP client through GVoice, Gizmo5, sip sorcery, and sip gate (described here:
http://ipad-candy.com/ipad_phone_calling/) however, the bluetooth mic/headsets did not work on the SIP client. That's a HUGE disappointment. as it would be VERY nice to have calling through my pad.
Any who, looking forward to seeing what the ooma team comes up with!
I'm not sure if you have a way around it, but Apple has chosen NOT to support BlueTooth Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.5) on the iPod Touch (2nd and 3rd generation) and the iPad. Unless you have a way to make the Touch and iPad able to use this profile, nothing that ooma can do will give you the option to use the headsets.
Here is the official list of profiles:

Maybe I misread Bobby's post but he said "The iPhone SIP client will soon go to beta - we were aiming to start it within 1-2 weeks" on June 3.

It might be a private beta test, rather than a public one.

No, not currently. But as the OP mentioned, I read that it's something they're planning to do.

well it looks like when you goto that mobile page and enable mobile access that you are actually getting sip credentials. A box pops up and says new sip password generated. now all we need is all the server info...

I see that this posting is very old but I can't help asking again, I have a Smart ATA from Netgen that is suppose to handle faxes very well. I would like to keep my Ooma account but be able to program my SIP credentials into the ATA box so i can start to fax reliably, will Ooma give out SIP credentials?
