Can not understand how this Company was voted as #1.
Yes, as I have said before it is cheap. Would I recommend the to a friend. No. To somebody I do not like. Oh yes. Definitely.
Now have had a few occasions where I have lost my connection. With a flashing orange light.

Totally useless.
My experiences over the last 2/3 weeks.
Line goes out for no reason at all. Plus the many times of garbled messages and dropped lines in the conversation.
Not that I like to spend wasting my time trying to re boot.
Yesterday was just a sample.
Tried to re boot 8 times taking over an hour and half to get a blue light. Then I had a working line, dialled and got 2 calling rings and then lost the connection. Another hour later after going through the same procedure got a blue light.
Naturally, called "ooma" asked to speak to a Supervisor. To which they where very reluctant to put me through.
Did manage to speak to him and he said he would do many things to correct the fault.
He also mentioned that he would send me an e mail for me to respond to as to how the line is working.
Did not receive e mail. Another song and dance from there customer service.
When the line goes out at least my computer is working. So I go online chat. Give them the same story and have to go through the same old song and dance as to what is wrong with my line. Do they not keep records? Or do they go through this hoping I will give up out of frustration.
Then I get the same old story that I must phone the advanced call centre. I have lost count as to how many times I have told them I can not call. I do not have a phone line. Sssheesshh.
This morning I am going through the same procedure. No phone and keep re booting.
So far for an hour and a half. Very frustrating.
Bottom line is ooma are cheap and also you get your moneys worth. Terrible customer service. Nobody cares.
Voted #1. Yes, I would vote them #1 as the most useless Voip system.

Update.
Ooma sent me another unit and usb adapter. No charge.
Seems my problem is still so so.
The fault seems to be the usb adapter. When I am away from the phone I unplug it. Reason, it heats up and only when using the phone do I plug it back in again.
Still the cheaper way to go. However, not very reliable. Only had garbled messages a few times.

I think I jinxed myself with the above post.
Made 2 phone calls and was dropped on both of them. One whilst I was in a conversation.
Having to go through the procedure of re setting. Nuisance.
So far today have made 15 calls and dropped everytime.
Phoned ooma and was even dropped talking to them.
Called them back and for the first time in many calls managed a full conversation.

Redpatttison, Who is your ISP? do you have DSL, cable, satellite or a wireless link? What is your bandwidth and latency?

Working with wireless.
Not sure what you mean by latency, bandwidth.
I have a friend that is an IT and does my technical stuff.
However, speed is 109 ms jitter is 66ms. if that helps.

Is your ISP wireless? I'm not talking about the WIFI in your house.

Thank you for the information.

This is what it came up with.
Jitter 2.69
Packet loss 0.4%
Download speed 5.43
Consistence 58%
Mos score 3.7
Unable to measure upload speed

Made a few calls today. Outgoing and incoming. No problems.
It has good days and bad days.
Would obviously prefer all good days.
