Does the blacklist and contact list play together nicely?
I have noticed a number of forum users saying that they use the wildcard blocking - like "block all numbers that start with (XXX)" but they still expect that numbers in their contact list with pattern (XXX) YYY-NNNN will ring through.
Is this correct? That would make my life so much simpler if numbers in my contact list had higher priority and rang through while wildcard numbers that don't match contact numbers were truly blocked.
Thanks!
Alan

From the call-blocking support page:
http://support.ooma.com/home/custom-call-blocking/
Phone numbers that are included in your contact list cannot be blocked. If you are having trouble adding a phone number to your custom block list, please check to make sure that you do not have that phone number listed as a contact.
I rely on this, as I block my area code/local exchange & it allows me to whitelist the 'legit' callers
