Do you have 10 digit dialing enabled? If not you must dial 7 or 11 digits for all calls.

Before I enabled 10 digits I could make outgoing calls, using 10 digits without any problem. In the past few weeks, I couldn't make outgoing calls anymore, then I enabled the 10 digits on my setting, still not working.
I tested with dialing either 10 digits or 11 digits to make a phone call, none of them work. So i googled and found out to dial *98 then 11 digits, it worked.
So now every time if I need to make a phone call, I have to dial *98 1 (area code) XXX-XXXX.

I've had the basic Ooma for 7+ years now and this is the first time I noticed it had happen. I just wanted to give my 5 cents. I use my phones for radio contests so it's not unusual to always get busy signals. But since I had to check voicemail on another phone, the busy signal didn't make sense. I tried disconnecting my phone handset; still busy busy so that didn't work. Then I read this forum. I was going to shut off my router but read other people had no luck. So I just tried the next less drastic step...I UNPLUGGED THE OOMA (since there's no off or reboot switch). Waited 5 minutes and IT WORKED. I know I dodge the bullet on this one but it's nice to know the problem is not on my end but on their service end. So if anything, there's strength in numbers, even if it's number of people having the same problem.

This is an ongoing Ooma problem. There are years of complaints.

DON'T BUY. RUN. RETURN THE SYSTEM!
