Play light blinking, everything else dead

Post by seamus42 » Tue Jul 09, 2019 7:06 am

Can't get my father's Telo revived. Had my own for years, but never seen this before. The play light flashes about once per second, and nothing else lights up. Phone line is dead. I've tried everything I know to try -- hit reset on back, unplugged/replugged power and everything else. As soon as power is plugged back in, the play light returns to its flashing.

All suggestions appreciated! Looks like it's a new Telo for him otherwise.

Do you have a voltmeter? The power adapter may be failing and not providing 5 volts.

Is it connected to the building wiring? If so, disconnect and connect a phone directly to the Telo.

Can you connect a computer to the Home port and access the built in web server?
If the computer has wireless it must be disabled.

I came to my Dad's house this morning to find the main light glowing a steady purple. Phone line still dead. I swapped out for a known good power adapter, and now no lights light up at all. The unit appears to be completely dead. Can't get to the built-in server or get any lights to Glow. Unless I am missing something, I think I have a dead Telo!
