Black List

Post by hackerguy » Thu Aug 06, 2009 9:39 pm

Have had Ooma now for about 4 months and am very satisfied with it. I am getting some calls that show in the call log with the format xxx-000-xxxx. Are they just "spoofing" the real number and will it do any good to add then to the black list?

Yes, it is a case of someone spoofing their CID and most likely it will be impossible to add it to the blacklist. In a future release there will be a way to block all non-conforming (spoofed) CID's so they go straight to either a message or another non-ringing treatment.

If no one has said it in the past 4 months, welcome to ooma! You're going to like it here. Lots of nice people, great advice, no phone bills!
