General Question about Moving to a new Home and taking ooma

Post by plasmo » Sun Dec 28, 2008 8:53 pm

Just a general question....

I am planning on moving to a new home in a year or so...
...how does one (re)setup the ooma device at the new home?
Can the same phone# be retained, or does the account need to be reset or something... ?

Has anyone moved, and transferred their use of their ooma device to the new home?

I guess another (similar) question along the same lines... if I were to sell my ooma device (i'm not planning on it, but hypothetical)... can a new user use the previously activated ooma hub? or does this need to be reset thru Ooma CS?

If you're planning on moving to a new home, you can keep the existing phone number assigned to the ooma Hub. The only thing you need to update is your ooma service address in the ooma Lounge. This information is very important to keep up-to-date for E911 services.

If you're transferring the ooma Hub to someone else, you'll need to call into customer support to authorize the transfer.
