I want to loose the Voicemail service (feature request)

Hi, This has probably been discussed a million times over, but your service is completely 100% useless to me with voicemail. I like your services and the prices ar right BUT I have a residential 800# that charges me for family memebers that are out of state and only have land lines, yes antiquated but this is what they know how to do and how to reach me. If I have voicemail I get charged for their messages big time and it encourages them to leave more when I am not at home.
Can you PLEASE adapt your service to do remove voicemail and have the number just ring out so I can port my real telephone number and use your service from home. As it stands now I will be returning your adapter at the end of the month and looking around for another VOIP provider that can do this.

Thanks,
Joe C.

I'm really sorry to hear you are having problem.

Recently, I got my own 800# as well and I now that if I have a voicemail I will get charge depending what country is calling me. I would suggest you to call that company you got the 800# from and ask them first. It would it be sad if you return the Ooma, and I know Ooma got nothing to do with your voicemail and type of services you are buying from other companies.
Set up your voicemail to ring 8 times or more if you can so that will give you enough time to answer the phone and not get charge by the other company or service you have.
I hope this will help you
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
