$99 Ooma Premier extended for current Ooma Hub customers
How is getting 5000 minutes a month an improvement over the unlimited calling I was receiving?

it's a bump up from the 3000 min/mo that was part of the old terms of service

Yup... It's a huge improvement, and aligns them to be competitive with Vonage which also defines "unlimited" as 5,000 minutes...

The 5000min limited is for outgoing call only. Incoming call do not count toward the limitation.

I am totally confused....I don't know where in "My Ooma" it tells me when my annual subscription is up and subsequently the link to extend my Ooma Premier for $99, and am I grandfathered for life at $99/year?
All my account page says is "Your service level is: Premier, Annual Subscription" with a picture of a blue crown.
Also I never received any email(s) regarding the changing of the TOS, I checked my profile and my email address is correct.

I've heard (but can't confirm) that Ooma-to-Ooma (or "in-network") calls and toll-free calls may not count toward this limit either...tommies wrote:The 5000min limited is for outgoing call only. Incoming call do not count toward the limitation.

At one time the 3000 min limit was updated in the T&C to be outgoing calls only. Now that the new T&C were published with the new limit of 5000 mins, the specification of outgoing calls only is no longer there.tommies wrote:The 5000min limited is for outgoing call only. It only costs the phone company money to connect a call, the called number doesn't have any billing information associated with it when the SIP handshake occurs

I understand this to mean I can buy an additional year of Premier for $99.99 up until 12/31/09 but after that it is going to be the new rate for all of us (new & old). This statement doesn't hint that the existing customers will get premier for $99 after this year. Someone from Ooma please correct me if I am wrong BTW: I am hoping I am wrongAveamantium wrote: d.
