Re: HOW DO I BLOCK PARTIAL CALLER ID? I keep getting calls with
I'm not 100% sure this is possible, another service I had did this and it let me block whole area codes and even prefixes! You could try when doing a blacklist doing the area code and maybe doing *'s for the rest of the numbers maybe that will work? But if Ooma doesn't support it this would be a great feature request!

That would be so cool if the wildcards worked.

do wildcards work in blacklists now?
thanks!

We don't support wildcards. But you can blacklist numbers shorter than 10 digits now. So you can add "775" to your blacklist.

Dennis:
It doesn't let you blacklist 000-000-0000 or any number starting with zero.

I've said this before and I'll repeat myself here.
My medical clinic calls to remind of appointments and the number is 000-000-0000 when they call. Yes, I have told them about it and yes they know that is what is showing on Caller-ID.
Ergo, I wouldn't block it if I could.

they probably don't want anyone to have an "internal" number that you could use to bypass the IVR system!Leeway wrote:I've said this before and I'll repeat myself here.

If they are able to display 000-000-0000 they can display the number they want to have you call back on. It might be the number for their appointment desk or another number that would go through their IVR. There is really no reason for a legitamate company to display a bogus CID of 000-000-0000.niknak wrote:they probably don't want anyone to have an "internal" number that you could use to bypass the IVR system!
