where are voice mails stored???

Post by lubitcr » Tue Oct 06, 2009 1:47 pm

A couple of questions for a newbie..

1. Where are voice mails stored, on the ooma box, or on a ooma server???

2. If I loose internet connection, and someone tries to leave an email, can they?? and will I be able to retreive it?

3. Do I loose my saved voice mails if I loose power?

Voicemail is stored on the server, not in the box.
If you do not have power you will still receive voicemail and will not lose any.

Were you calling from a phone connected to Ooma as you unplugged the Hub?

Talk softer and see what happens. I'm curious as well.

I think this is a problem that has been around for a while. I haven't tested it lately, but when I tried this months ago, it did exactly the same thing.

I just want to say one thing.. You guys (gals) are the greatest, for at least responding in a civil manner. It is seldom you get some people who care without being rude. I like the sense of humor also...

thanks.... just seeing how my new toy works, before I port over my landline phone..
