Default dial tone
I have tried a number of times to change my Ooma dial tone with no luck. MyOoma>Preferences>Calling>Ooma connection tone shows Galactic but I still get the default dial tone.
Any thoughts?

Re: Default dial tone
The connection tone is different than the dial tone. The connection tone is heard by the person you are calling when they answer the call, and you can disable it or change it. The dial tone cannot be changed.

Thanks. I just called from Ooma to my cell phone and all I got was me talking to me, and heard nothing like what I would expect a Galactic Connection tone to sound.
Am I missing something?

Re: Default dial tone
Not sure. I have the connection tone disabled for me so I don't know what any of the tones sound like in actual use. Before the recent website change there was a way to hear the tones (sample) in the selection list, but that function is no longer there. Perhaps in disabling the sample tones they disabled the whole thing. No great loss IMHO, I think connection tones are probably the most likely feature to be disabled by Ooma customers once they know about it.
Re: Default dial tone
We should have the connection tone preview restored either today or tomorrow. I'll update the My Ooma release notes when it's up.

Teleo was a different VoIP company (not Ooma) which was acquired by Microsoft: http://news.microsoft.com/2005/08/30/mi ... y-company/
