Can't call some 800 numbers???
This has happened a couple of times now. I go to call an 800 number and someone on the other end says "Hello?" I ask if this is the business I am trying to reach and they say no. What is up with that? It doesn't happen all the time. I just tried to call Ooom Tech Support and got them but when I tried to call 877-657-3322 to speak with American Express it doesn't work. Any ideas???

Interesting, I tried to call that number with and without the (1) and got a busy signal.
I attempted to call another AMEX number 800.472.9297 (pay by phone) and also got a busy signal.
Thats not good!!
I will see if any forum mods pick this up, if not I will call customer service to report.

I can't call any 800 numbers either. All I get is the busy signal. What is up with that?

i didn't post my question here because i got a different behaviour i.e. busy signal and line use light going away.
upon seeing the other posts, looks like this is a bigger issue. we need to get this fixed!

I too had the same problem yesterday evening (18th Jan 2010). I tried calling a toll free number and got a busy tone. Dialled the same number on my cell phone and got through without any problem. Tried with ooma again and same problem. Tried several other 1-800 and 1-866 numbers and got the same busy signal. I got ooma a couple of months ago and this is the first time an issue has arisen. I sent ooma an email regarding it. Hopefully ooma solves it.
