Phone rings, but no caller

Post by realsol » Tue Mar 10, 2009 7:52 am

This just started happening this morning for both of my Ooma lines. Phone rings, but no one is there. Displays callerID, but I don't hear anyone.

I finally called back the person that was calling me, and sure enough, they are getting a recording saying all circuits are busy. But the call is coming through, just not connecting to both ends.

I tested it from my cell phone, calling both my numbers, and sure enough, phone rang but would never connect the call and I got the same recording.

I run a home business and need to get my calls. I will try calling Ooma, but I know how that will go, not being able to get anyone, so before I make that call I thought I would start here first.

Please help.

Thanks.

Well, I seem to be back up (for now). Just used my cell phone to test and got through. Does anyone at Ooma know what the problem is.

We just have this same problem. I just receive a call to my cell and after hanging up, I tried to call back to my home from my cell and they said it just keep ringing and when they pick up, it is like no one on the other line.

So, I asked them to unplugged for a while (calling cell to cell), and when they plug it back in and I try to calling again, everything is back to normal.

My guess is that, they are working on something and it took a while to reset/update all ooma hub. Or will reset/update after unplugging it.

We are aggressively working this issue. There is a routing problem at one of our partners. This affects inbound and outbound calls for the majority of customers. I've updated out system status page. I'll let everyone know when this problem is fixed.
