Just went off and on again. I have been an ooma user for only two weeks, but now I'm starting to wonder about their service availability record. For those of you old timers, can you recall how often this happens? I hope this is just an aberration.

I've been a customer since August 2009, and this is the first time this has happened to me...

It's days like this that makes me thank goodness that I kept a limited service landline...

April 2009, I think was the last widespread general service interruption. There have been some limited issues, like the toll-free calling outage last night (I wonder if that and today's issue are related). In any case, the first rule of VoIP is to always have a backup, be it a cell phone or a land line, that does not depend on your Internet connection.

What is the MOST frustrating is that when I call my Ooma number (which I have pretty much given to everyone), I get a fast busy signal...

The multiring is not ringing to my cell phone as a backup... Nor is it at the very least going straight to voicemail so that I could at least hear a message forwarded to my email or something...

Our Hub was offline from about noon until 3pm PST; now it works for outgoing calls but doesn't ring on incoming.

I'm afraid this is the death knell for Ooma in our household. Echoing on calls despite repeated "fixes" and good Internet connectivity and never-fixed outgoing CID made my wife angry enough. This isn't going to go over well.

Same here in San Francisco. On and off all day. Was just down again for the last 30 mins... came back up at 4:40 PST.

Even when the service is up briefly between outages, I can't receive any calls :(
