While trying to find problem to my omma not displaying caller ID,(see post below) I see star code next to my ooma number. What are those,do they have a purpose being there? I might have set them up but now forgotten about it.

Those codes are for outgoing caller ID. If you have several shared numbers on your system, the default outgoing CID is your primary number. Using the star codes allows you to send the CID of another of your numbers on a per call basis. Why would you want to do that? Well, if you have both a personal and business number, but do not have the business number assigned to a personal device (scout with the hub or Telo handset with the Telo) then you are still able to send the business CID when making business calls. Normally, all calls would show your primary number.
