Voice mail answering during conference call

Called into a GlobalMeet® conference call today for a telephone conference and was listening with no troubles
for 53 minutes and then the call dropped. From the time the call dropped until the end of the conference
about 30 minutes later my ooma voicemail was picking up and announcing itself and recording snippets
of the conference call and I was unable to do anything to stop this behavior on my end. I dropped off
the conference call and completely disconnected the hub but this had no effect (broadband voicemail ..duh!)
and the interruptions and recordings continued until the conference ended. Is this a bug? Is there
anyway to avoid this? (it hasn't happened before) The dates and times are accurate below, the phone
number has been altered to protect the innocent etc. etc. ....

The same thing happened to me on 4/13 and again this morning using InterCall. If anyone knows the cause or how to prevent this from happening again it would be much appreciated. It is extremely disruptive and like 'SirFreaknGroovn' it continued even after I disconnected all of my equipment so there was no way to mute or stop it.

Same story. Just happened this morning. Kinda embarrassing when lots of people are on the line are being interrupted and, since it is your voice identifying that it is your voicemail, everyone blames you even though you can't do a thing about it. Ooma, fix this!

Had exactly the same issue happen on a fairly important conference call. I opened a ticket with ooma support and they are currently working on my issue but do not acknowledge this as a "known issue". I'd suggest everyone who has experienced this issue to call in a ticket.

I'm not certain if anyone from ooma support monitors these forums as they were unaware of these existing threads when I called yesterday...

Thank goodness I'm not the only one to have experienced/reported this problem. It happened to me on Friday 5/7, starting at around 11:30-11:45am (Eastern time). I was thinking that perhaps it had something to do with the AT&T Microcell that I recently purchased. FWIW, my setup is as follows:
Cable Modem -> Ooma -> wireless router, and the AT&T Microcell is connected to the wireless router.

My Friday call was using GoToMeeting. Here are some interesting/bizarre aspects of the insanity I went through:

1) My initial call into the meeting was via my cordless home phone which is utilizing my Ooma phone line. The call went fine for the first 30+ minutes, then I hear my Ooma answering machine greeting kick in. I immediately hang-up, feeling very embarrassed. I would later learn that the Ooma recorded some of the conversation after I hung up.

2) I then decided to call back into the meeting using my iPhone which was utilizing the AT&T Microcell (VoIP) since I can't get a reliable AT&T signal inside my house. After being on the call for a few minutes, I once again hear my Ooma voicemail greeting. Again, I was *not* utilizing the Ooma phone line, so this totally freaked me out.

3) I then remember that GoToMeeting, in addition to the GUI (e.g., show your desktop screen) aspect of it, also utilizes VoIP to handle the conference call, and the desktop software has a radio button which allows me to indicate whether I'm calling into it via my phone (which is how I had it set the first two times), or if I want to be a part of the conference call using my laptop's speaker/microphone. So I figured I'd give that a go. Again, that seemed to work for a few minutes, and then wouldn't you know, that darned Ooma voicemail greeting kicked in *AGAIN*!!!

Do any of the rest of you have a femtocell (e.g., AT&T Microcell or one of the other carrier's equivalent)? Even if that's not the culprit, the problem definitely appears to be related to "interference" among Ooma's VoIP and other VoIP software "running" across your broadband connection.

This happened to me as well during today's conference call. Every five minutes it was announcing that it had run out of voice mail space, even long after I had hung up.

I was later told by Ooma support to hold down the ooma tab while unplugging and then plugging the power cable back in, and finally releasing the ooma tab. It's yet to be seen if this will fix the problem...

Same problem happened to me (as I posted in a separate thread). I didn't realize that it was happening to others, too. It's very embarrassing! I'm afraid to use Ooma to call in for future meetings. I braved it today and it worked fine, but another Internet glitch could cause the problem to recur, and I'd never use Ooma again.

I called Ooma Support about it and was told that I should do a "factory reset" on my Ooma Hub. I kept explaining that the voicemail not disconnecting and continuing to repeat has nothing to do with my box, but Nowie insisted that the voicemail was being handled by the Hub.

Regarding opening up a ticket. How is that done? I've searched the Ooma website and can't seem to find a page for doing that.

It happened to me twice. Called the Ooma customer service. All they made me to do is to reset the box. I don't think they know what is going on.

For those of you who experienced it, is it happening only when you are hosting the call or even if you just a participant? For me it happened only when I am hosting the call.
