Google Talk problem with Ooma Telo

Post by byan » Sat Mar 27, 2010 7:38 pm

Hi,

I got a problem with Google Talk program on my laptop. It was working fine until I installed Ooma Telo. After Ooma Telo was put into use, when I answered or called other people using Google Talk on my laptop, I could not hear them nor could they hear me. It seemed that Ooma Telo was blocking Google Talk VOIP traffic.
I'd appreciate if anybody has any information or idea.

Regards,
Brian

Wire your Telo unit *behind* the router (same as your computer) so you have: Cable Feed -> Router -> Ooma Telo.

Thanks for the advice. After reconnecting Ooma Telo as an input to the router, Google Talk on my laptop works again.

However, the ooma QoS system will no longer work.
