I am already a Hub/scout 'core' owner, I want to buy ANOTHER 'core' for my vacation house new of course. I want the systems to be Totally separate with two different numbers, so this NEW system I want to buy will be tax/Fee free, like my original?

You can do that if you can find one still in stock somewhere. They are no longer being made.

It looks like Amazon has run out of the Amazon sold and shipped Core systems, which had no tax, and no fees for $199.99, but it looks like www.frys.com has them, although a Fry's unit that I got was made and shipped to them late in 2009, but that probably is ok. The Amazon units were newer, but seem to be gone at this time. Good luck!
You can also goggle it, but I wouldn't think Amazon will have any more, unless I return one.

Yeah, i got one from Fry's Not sure the MGF Date but it appears the same as my original with the same language on the box and no talk of taxes/fees in fact it does mention it's Fee Free.

I would keep checking Amazon. They ran out before and when they got them back in stock I was able to snag one up for that $199 price. And mine has no fees listed on the box.oom101 wrote:It looks like Amazon has run out of the Amazon sold and shipped Core systems, which had no tax, and no fees for $199.99

Exactly what?
It would be foolish to wait for Amazon. The Core units I got a few weeks ago were sent to Amazon in May. I verified with Ooma, and they were surprised that there was still no fee mentioned. Fry's new Core is $199.99 with free shipping, and their site says...
Ooma Core - Free VoIP Home Phone Service with no monthly service bills
so if it isn't, then you should be able to return it. (see above post saying Fry's box mentions no fees)
I've been told that there are no more completely fee free units being made, for obvious reasons, although there are rumors that some Fry's refurbs will activate no fee, but good luck on that.

To reason to wait for Amazon to get more, is so you don't have to pay the State tax. For me that comes to almost $18.

I just brought a refurnished Hub from Fry's. Work great with no taxes and it is advertised with no taxes on Fry's website. The only thing with Fry's is no shipping. I actually ordered the Hub online, but had to pick the Hub up at a store that has the unit in inventory.
In fact, the unit looks new and comes with a one year warranty. I brought it for $129, but it is now about $145.
