Voice mail not available

I signed up for service earlier today. When I go to check my voice mail online the ooma site says: Voicemail is unavailable right now, please try again later.
Does it take a while before the online site is active? Tech support was unable to explain why it was happening and told me to wait a few hours. The voicemail system is taking calls and I can receive them on the ooma hub.

Have you setup your VM yet? Not certain if that matters.

Yes I did. I also created a custom external message. Didn't matter.

It's working as of this morning. Dont' understand why tech support wouldn't know this...

I suppose your case was an exception vs norm.

There was some maintenance performed last night which may have been a contributing factor.

I also am getting the voicemail is unavailable message, even several hours after registering and setting everything up. Everything else including calls etc work fine. This is using Safari 5.0.1 on a Mac.
However using Firefox the voicemail access works just fine. So this is clearly a web page design problem with Ooma's voicemail web page. This seriously needs to be fixed by Ooma - users don't want to have to keep switching browsers just to access their voicemail. Please design your web page code to work in all popular browsers and test them before releasing new versions of the pages.

I get this intermittently. In Firefox, I've been getting this since last night. Just logged in using IE, and everything is fine there.
