Difference in 911 and E911
Is my ability of call 911 set when I complete installation?
Do not recall any mention of it.

Re: Difference in 911 and E911
Yes, you should be able to make 911 calls right after the Ooma is setup. However, it may take up to 24 hours for the ADDRESS to be provisioned. For the time being, you will be routed to a nationwide 911 backup center, who will take your info and pass it on to your local office.
PS: Make sure you enter your address TOTALLY right. Otherwise, the Ooma will not route your call to your local call center.
i.e. If your address is 1840 Embarcadero Dr, Palo Alto, if you do 1840 Embarcadero St, Palo Alto, it won't go through to the Palo Alto 911 call center. I had a terrible experience with setting up 911 with my address since I moved into a new residence and Ooma didn't recognize my address at first, and this was one of the main reasons why 911 wouldn't go through - I had a Dr where there should be no Dr.

Thanks for the info. I do not recall setting this up, was it a part of the installation or should I add it and if so where do
I go to add it?

Inputting address was part of the activation flow.

Thanks ntoy. Where are instructions of this type located? I see people talk about setup.ooma.com and things that
that I would love to read and learn from.

Hello Toots,
There is a wealth of information in our forum with many thanks to our forum contributors! I can't say enough...
If you cruise through the forum topics at your leisure, you'll find some great stuff! Also, you may want to cruise through our FAQ's.
Unfortunately, detailed documentation in some areas may not be available at the moment. This is a work in progress project.
Only info I have on setup.ooma.com is from our Quick start guide:
https://www.ooma.com/support/documentation
"You can optimize how ooma prioritizes your network traffic
by opening your web browser to http://setup.ooma.com.
Note that this page can only be accessed from a computer
connected directly to, or behind, the HOME NETWORK
port of your Ooma Telo."
This only shows you how to gain access.
Again, welcome to Ooma!

Thanks so much ntoy, you have been very helpful. Glad you explained about accessing the setup link. I have
the core version and could not access.
Thanks for the welcome, so far I like ooma very much. Have not installed my Scout yet. Will take a pause and see
if I really need it.

Sorry, one more thing I neglected to mention:
If setup.ooma.com does not work, you can also try http://172.27.35.1 instead.
