Ooma outage actually a good thing?

Post by bryanlyle » Mon Apr 13, 2009 11:44 am

Maybe this outage will actually be a good thing for Ooma in the long run. Perhaps this will cause the Ooma folks to step back and reevaluate how they have their infrastructure defined.

Clearly, a single point of failure should not take down the entire system and keep it down for (currently) 2 hours. I have complete faith that they will figure this out and get it corrected so that these issues don't happen in the future.

Outages are going to happen.

I agree 100%. I have outages sometimes with the broadband too. The good thing when something like this happens it gets fixed.
