Re: Ooma on sale
You can get it from Amazon for $199.99 plus free shipping as well. and no tax for most people. Also, you can get it for a little less than $200 (including shipping) if you go with an Amazon partner... but that is a little more risky than getting it from Amazon directly.Mudd wrote:Got mine at Fry's for $199.99

On Saturday, Oct 16, a refurbished Telo is just $139.99 + $5 shipping at woot http://www.woot.com
Re: Ooma on sale
The only thing you need to consider is on any refurbished or used unit there could be a charge from ooma to reset it as a nbew customer... I don't remember the exact cost. I think it is around $70 to do that.doug wrote:On Saturday, Oct 16, a refurbished Telo is just $139.99 + $5 shipping at woot http://www.woot.com
Re: Ooma on sale
I believe that cost is only for someone who buys a "used" previously activated OOMA. I'm not 100% sure though.hpepper wrote:The only thing you need to consider is on any refurbished or used unit there could be a charge from ooma to reset it as a nbew customer... Re: Ooma on sale
Refurbished units aren't treated as previously owned so they shouldn't have the charge unless some records didn't get updated. Even if that happened you should be able to get it corrected by submitting some paperwork.
Re: Ooma on sale
I'm the proud owner of one of those refurbished units purchased on Woot.
The device cam in a new box, and the gloss of the black plastic of theTelo appeared untouched.
They may have said refurb, but it sure looked new.
In any case, just registered, and there was no "migration" charge. The item was treated like a new device... (which I believe it was.)
Bye-bye Vonage!

They still have core systems on amazon for about $245 but no monthly taxes to pay and no credit card required to active.
