Re: ooma Service Status
I've had Ooma since last December and it has been extremely reliable. I've never experienced an Ooma outage before this.
Previously I had Lingo VOIP phone service for four years. They occasionally had national outages. That is just the nature of phone service that uses the internet. Outages occasionally happen, although they are almost always because of a local ISP problem. National issues are quite rare in my experience.
For years I had Charter Internet service would go down for several hours almost every Sunday. It was so frustrating because I had to wait for it to come back on and then unplug my modem Lingo router and phone and wait before plugging each device back in for it to reset.
The Ooma device is so much more stable. When my current ISP has gone down briefly, the Ooma device reboots automatically without a glitch and without my having to unplug and replug anything.
It definitely helps to have a cell phone for back up though, even just a pay-as-you-go type cell phone. I keep mine in the car for emergencies, and bring it inside if my ISP goes down.

As red as the blood, in a blink of an eye, that flowed out of our beloved President Lincoln as tomorrow remembers his horrendous assassination.
