Ooma has at various points of time expressed an interest in implementing a T.38 FoIP gateway. Other providers such as Vonage already provide this service.

One would hope the demand is now sufficiently high for Ooma to offer the same, perhaps as a pay-for Premier service addon

Yes, this is still planned for development, but we don't have a target date for this feature yet.
