I have three handsets and, as of late, the batteries don't last more than an hour after being fully charged. One of the batteries only lasts 2-3 minutes on a full charge.
Does anyone know where I can go for replacement batteries?
Thanks.

Re: Telo Handset Batteries
I do not - sorry that I cannot help with the battery.
I do have a question though. When you are using the handset and the batteries run low, does your handset give you any audible or visual indication that the batteries are low? Or does the handset just turn off? (This question is to help answer another users forum issue). Thanks

Well, when they are low, they sometimes give an audible signal (sometimes they give the low battery signal even though the battery is fine) and other times they just turn off.EA PA wrote:I do not - sorry that I cannot help with the battery.

So I suppose to answer your question, yes and yes.
Re: Telo Handset Batteries
LOL - OK then - yes and yes it is.... Or maybe it really does alarm but in your case the battery dies so quickly that it does not have a chance to alarm - or the alarm current actually drops the battery voltage to the shut down limit. I would guesss that if it alarms once in awhile, then with good batteries it should probably work all the time. Anyway thanks for the response. By the way, are you sure OOMA wont sell batteries to you? You could call and ask..scoutconnor wrote:Well, when they are low, they sometimes give an audible signal (sometimes they give the low battery signal even though the battery is fine) and other times they just turn off.EA PA wrote:I do not - sorry that I cannot help with the battery.

Re: Telo Handset Batteries
NiMH battery pack, model HB1001 for Telo Handset Price.
You can Purchase one from us (Ooma) at 19.99 for the handset battery.
for details please call us at 1-866-452-6662
Article at location below will give idea why NiMH battery packs fail and will only hold low charge.

Re: Telo Handset Batteries
Notable in Wiki are the Discharging and Over-discharging sections.
Note that there is a rapid drop at 80% discharge to the "flat" voltage ~ 30% less. Also notable in the Over-discharging section is that some devices are designed to auto detect discharged condition to facilitate shutdown for protection of the batteries from damage due to polarity reversal effect.
Thunderbird, can you confirm that the handset has this built in? If so, that may explain the rapid unalarmed shutdown of the handsets when nearly discharged (similar to the newer digital cameras).
Also, are you employed by OOMA????

Since Ooma is located in the San Francisco Bay area, I couldn't afford to work for Ooma.EA PA wrote:Notable in Wiki are the Discharging and Over-discharging sections.

Your question about the Ooma Telo Handset shut-down would be better directed to Norm Toy.

I understand - high barrier of entry. Question comes from :
"You can Purchase one from us (Ooma) at 19.99 for the handset battery."

That was a cut and paste, I added the (Ooma).EA PA wrote:I understand - high barrier of entry. Question comes from :

Oh OK. Also, if with OOMA, I was wondering why you dont address the post;
"Hello,"
And have an OOMA avatar...
