New TV Commercial

Stop running the current TV ad.That's my request. I've been an Ooma user for about 16 months now and it has worked perfectly. I was embarrassed when I saw that ad, however. Who are you marketing to, junior high school dropouts? You are going to have a hard time getting people with an education to believe in your product airing that spot. It almost looks like one of those crappy infomercials.

Another reason to rejoice that I never watch TV. Never watch it. Never.

No, especially not that. I don't know any of those people, so who cares about their wedding?

But I do confess that I followed both of Lbmofo's links and watched both ads. Each is remarkably puerile, but I enjoyed the bassoon playing in the background.

I assume the second one is new. Most ads, I think, are very objectionable -- but each of these seemed inoffensive though boring. I'd never seen either one before; didn't even know Ooma advertised on TV, actually.

I watched the original ad that lbmofo posted. One line caught my attention and made me laugh. The line was “No Crazy Numbers”.

I recall the moment when I provided OOMA dialing instructions to my bride. In particular, dialing out on our second line with the high bandwidth codec;

**1,*98, xxx-xxx-xxxx

Telo, 200 bucks, the expression on her face, priceless! :shock:
