Info Only:
See Speedtest Phonepower test at http://www.phonepower.com/speedtest for testing after the "Java.policy" file has been modified.
For anyone that hasn't been able to cut and past the Speedtest Phonepower test results (or any Java generated document), by clicking the Advanced tab, then clicking on "View text" at the bottom of the page, selecting all text using the mouse to highlight text, then using CTRL+C for copy, or by selecting CTRL+A to highlight, CTRL+C to copy, CTRL+V for paste... see instuctions below and see Attachment.
See for latest Java update: http://www.java.com/en/
Most people (right now) will be using Java 6 Update 26 version 6.0.260 which is the standard current download recommended by Microsoft's link to Oracle, as of July 24, 2011.
(Anyone using this information must realize that the Java version is updated periodically, so the update and version number will change).
For this Java version the file named "Java.policy", location path in your C: drive, Programs Files folder, Java folder, jre6 folder, lib folder, security folder, has to be opened through Microsoft word (best), or any text editor, to add the text line:
permission java.awt.AWTPermission "accessClipboard";
Copy and paste above text line and place directly under existing text line:
// "standard" properies that can be read by anyone
After saving the document Java.policy and restart of the Windows browser, Speedtest Phonepower Copy and Paste works again.
