How to get 10 digit number to show in call log

Post by tblair » Sat Sep 17, 2011 11:11 am

I recently switched from vonage to ooma, and use a phone that has a directory in it. All the phone numbers in the directory are 10 digit , (the all show the 1 in the start of the number) . When I get call from someone in my directory, their name doesn't show on my caller id because the phone number doesn't match, because ooma shows the number without the 1. Is there a way to get ooma to show the 1? I really don't want to have to update all my phone numbers in my phone directory to delete the 1. Thanks for any help

I don't understand your problem. If the incoming phone number doesn't match the number in your phone directory it should display the actual incoming caller ID text. Just for the record the 1 is not part of the phone number. The 1 is the long distance access code. It is not needed for dialing within the US if you configure your my.ooma account for 10 digit dialing.
