When logging into my.ooma.com, you'll be greeted with the following message:

Ooma Voicemail 2.0 Upgrade

Get ready to move to Ooma Voicemail 2.0! In the next few months we're going to be upgrading all voicemail accounts to Ooma Voicemail 2.0. Here's the info you need for a smooth transition:

What's new in Ooma Voicemail 2.0?

Most improvements today are under the hood, but here are some of the benefits you'll see:

• Expanded server capacity for faster voicemail retrieval
• Optimized voice prompts for speedy message management
• Future access to new features and new My Ooma settings

What happens to my existing voicemail greetings and messages?

Any names or personal greetings you have recorded will automatically be transferred to the new voicemail system.

Your existing voicemail messages will be archived for access in My Ooma. You'll be able to play, manage and download your archived messages until January 31st, 2012.

How do I upgrade?

To upgrade to the new system immediately, click on the Upgrade me now! button below. After entering your voicemail PIN, we'll migrate your voicemail account to the new system. Afterwards, you'll be immediately ready to start receiving voicemails on the new system.

My Hub account had it.
My Telo account did not have it.

They have to phase it. If everyone tried to update at the same time it could crush the server(s).

I suppose I found a bug in the migration process.

In the Voicemail forwarding/notifications preference, a couple of things were messed up.

I had 2 entries to email phone_number@mms.att.net with Audio file as attachment but after migration, the word "attachment" over-wrote first digit of phone_number and attachment option was over-written with "Text notification."

I'm still unclear what the upgrade does. Plus, I've learned from the past to always wait before upgrading software, until they can work out the bugs.

I also don't understand what this means, "Your existing voicemail messages will be archived for access in My Ooma. You'll be able to play, manage and download your archived messages until January 31st, 2012."

So after January 31st, 2012 my messages will be gone forever?

I read this Voicemail Upgrade message and at the end, I clicked to read the "the complete FAQ" to see what it said and I was asked for the "Support Password".

I tried my normal Ooma password and it didn't work. I'm not sure I ever recall seeing an Ooma "Support Password".

Am I missing something here?
