How to pick a local Ooma number

Post by lbmofo » Sun Jul 08, 2012 3:04 pm

Before you pick an Ooma number, do you need to know if it would be "local" to your friends and loved ones who still have landline? Of course, this works for picking any VoIP number, Google Voice number as well.

You can lookup area code/prefix from and to combo to see if local or not. Just look for local call of Y or N

In the from area code and prefix boxes, put in your friends' or loved ones' and in the to boxes, put in the Ooma number you are thinking of picking. NPA = area code NXX = prefix
