My Ooma down?
There seems to be an Internet backbone outage in the Bay Area which is causing various Internet connectivity issues for California customers.

I just wished OOMA kept updating their Status & Updates forum ... but that thing was last updated December last year.

Re: My Ooma down?
I just posted an update to the status page:

We usually don't bump the post unless it's affecting a large number of customers (which is why you didn't see the last updated date change).

I was having the same issue. Rebooted my ooma a few minutes ago and I'm back online. I'm also in California.
Re: My Ooma down?
Everything seems to be back to normal for me as well. Just got startled because my phone rang ...

My Telo is working normally.
I can access https://my.ooma.com with no problems.
Therefore the servers are not down.

Re: My Ooma down?
that's because you are in Pensylvania. The outage was limited to California.murphy wrote:My Telo is working normally.

Re: My Ooma down?
Yesterday my device started blinking red at about 3pm. Called customer service, they had me do slow reboots, fast reboots, hold down the end-key & the trash-can-key reboots.
No further help except for an instruction to power everything off including my router for 1/2 hour, oh and she said "Good Luck!" as she hung up. Started working again after about 24 hours. My internet tested out great throughout the ordeal. on speedtest.net. Huh, must be my router, not! Any hints on what I was doing wrong?

You probably did nothing wrong. There has been a few others, including me, complaining of the same types of things happening. I think that Ooma may be getting their servers, etc. ready for the release of their new handsets, and this may be effecting your and my service.28chukar wrote:Yesterday my device started blinking red at about 3pm.
