Home Security does not send SMS

I can not get OOMA Home Security to send me a SMS message when it goes into alarm. I confirmed ooma is configured with the correct mobile number. I have added/set the SMS Notification for the desired sensors and for the alarm but do not receive a text. The phone call works fine but to a different number. I have never tried the SMS until now so it may have never worked - Don't know.

Who is your carrier? Do you have your carrier specified in my Ooma? Did you try testing SMS delivery in the contacts section of My Ooma?

Looks like this has been an issue for several years now.

How come Canadian carriers like Fizz and Videotron do not appear in the Home Security App SMS contact carrier list?

I'm with Fizz and I can't get my sensors to send me SMS notifications.

I read that an upcoming update could fix this... (_Tom 2017). Well... Still waiting...

Anyone found a way to get this to work?
