Temporary VM greeting

Post by swyman18 » Mon Apr 19, 2010 7:37 am

Hi All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to setup a "temporary" greeting, similar to an out of office type thing? Then you could switch back to your main greeting without have to re-record it.

It didn't seem to be possible after listening to all the prompts, but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone was aware of anything.

Thanks.

I don't know of a current feature like that with ooma but it would be a great addition! It would also be great if it could be controlled through my.ooma.com and/or on a timed basis - like regular message from 8:00 to 5:00, other times go to an afterhours message.

Friends don't remember what Landline Integration was or why we did it.

Heh. I remember having a cassette-based answering-machine which had that feature (used stereo tracks) so you could support two different greetings and switch between them on demand.

I wonder if the Ooma VM system of the '10s, will be able to one day compete with the kick-butt system of the '80s.
